Hillary for America Files for NY Primary, Support from NY DNC Members Growing
Hillary Clinton officially filled petitions for the ballot in the New York primary election this week.
“We’re building our campaign in New York from the ground up, driven by a grassroots coalition that knows Hillary Clinton is the candidate who can stop Republicans from stripping away the progress that we’ve made,” Marlon Marshall, Hillary for America Director of State Campaigns and Political Engagement said. “As President, Hillary Clinton will prioritize the concerns that keep New Yorkers up at night – keeping us safe, creating good-paying jobs, lowering drug and health costs, making college more affordable, cutting taxes for the middle class and ensuring women get equal pay. We’re fighting hard to earn the nomination with a coalition of New York voters who know Hillary Clinton has the experience and the toughness to take on the job of President and get real results for people.”
In addition, today the campaign is announcing that support from NY’s Democratic National Committee members continues to grow. Nearly every New York DNC Member backs her campaign because they believe she is committed to strengthening the party and helping Democratic candidates win up and down the ballot in 2016 and beyond.
“These DNC members will only strengthen our grassroots-driven campaign and help us engage even more voters across New York in order to win the April 19th Primary. We’re honored to have their support,” Marshall continued.
