Your Stories from Across Kentucky

Hillary Clinton is an inspiration.  I admire her brains, her courage and most of all, her persistence.  She is not done yet. Go Hillary! We need your leadership!

-Kathy W. from Lexington

As a nurse in Kentucky I see the great need for universal health care for this country -people come into our hospital, people that work every day but just cannot afford health care. We also have people with preexisting illnesses that are unable to obtain any coverage and they are at the mercy of the insurance company. Please Hillary we need you, your in-depth knowledge is unsurpassed in this election. As a nurse, our hospital has joined together to get the word out. What ever you must do, you must clinch this nomination. Nurses throughout Kentucky are on your side, our prayers and support are with you. JUST GET IT DONE!!

-Rexford S. from Walton

I am supporting Hillary because she is the most competent and intelligent choice for President. Hillary has the strongest plan for helping our nation restore good relations with foreign countries after the disastrous Bush-Cheney years. She gives me hope that here at home, the PEOPLE will matter once again. Her compassion for the middle class, for those in poverty, for those without health insurance, and for everyone who is frustrated with the economy and gas prices is phenomenal. Although I have never met her, I know that Hillary cares about what happens to everyone, including me.  My mother has waited 86 years to vote for a woman who is truly qualified to be the President and was thrilled to be able to vote for Hillary in her state's primary. Throughout her campaign, Hillary has inspired HOPE in all of us. She is THE candidate of true inspiration, and I am so honored to be a faithful supporter of our next President -- HILLARY CLINTON!

-Steve T. from Owensboro

I feel Hillary is the right choice. Experience is what this country needs. A strong voice, determination, goals, and an iron fist to whip America back where it needs to be -- a strong and respected country. Hillary can make this happen. Focusing on what she plans to do when elected is what’s important, opening the process up to what citizens expect from their leader is important, and showing the people she has a heart is important. Kentucky wants to vote, we want our say, we need someone who cares and is willing to make our concerns their own and Hillary is that person.

Pikeville Potluck and Phone Bank!

by Henry Simchuk
5/15/2008 9:41:03 AM

Last Tuesday Hillary Clinton supporters from across Pike County gathered to show their support for Hillary. Everyone brought a favorite homemade dish and made phone calls. It was the same night as the West Virginia Primary, so instead of calling people in Kentucky, we reminded fellow Hillary supporters in West Virginia to vote. The potluck was a great way for people to come together and nearly everyone signed up to help on Election Day. The people of Pike County are eager to help Hillary win big next Tuesday!
